These Turmeric no-bake energy balls are a wonderfully nutritious, delicious snack providing healthy fats, nutrition, and a handful of health benefits. A simple turmeric energy balls recipe, great for meal-prepping.
Begin by putting the nuts in a blender or a food processor and blitzing them to little pieces. They don't need to become too powdery as the thicker texture is nice for your energy balls.
Next, add the rest of the ingredients and blend again to combine well. Make sure the dates and cranberries are well incorporated into the mixture.*
With a spoon, scoop out a bit of the mixture and try rolling it in a ball. If it sticks, great - if the ball falls apart easily, you might need to add an extra Medjool date and blend again. Alternatively, you could add 1 tBsp coconut oil.
When the mixture is sticky enough, roll it into balls. Feel free to use gloves so that your hands don't stain- because turmeric WILL stain everything.
These energy balls can then be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 5 days or frozen for up to six months.

Notes
* If your dates are feeling a little dry then feel free to soak them in hot water for 10 minutes before adding them to the blender. This can help you avoid having to add additional dates/coconut oil to the energy balls recipe.
Possible Energy Balls Recipe Variations:
There are a few substitutions you could make for this recipe. Obviously each variation will change the overall taste of the final no bake energy balls. However, it does allow you to experiment a little. For example:
Feel free to swap out the almonds and walnuts for other nuts such as pistachios or your own favourites. Some energy balls recipe variants use almond butter and nut butters - to help create a sticky mix. However, I like chunky bits of raw nuts in mine.
Dried cranberries work for their stickiness and their flavour. However, these could be swapped out with other dried fruit such as apricot or peaches.
Medjool dates can also be swapped out for other soft dried fruits like the apricots. However, it's worth noting that they are the main source of sweetness for this recipe and also help bind it. So different ingredients will definitely change the overall final results
You can add some flax seeds or chia seeds ( or even protein powder), to the mix for a higher protein snack.
To flavour them further, feel free to add a bit of homemade vanilla extract or raw cacao powder.
To make the turmeric energy balls even sweetener then feel free to drizzle in some maple syrup to the mixture. Just be careful not to make it too 'wet'.
More a more dessert-like snack then feel free to add in some chocolate chips. They actually taste amazing with the nuts and coconut and dates.
