** You can also use molasses amounts in-between or less/more than, based on personal preference.How to store?Technically, brown sugar doesn't really have a shelf life. The main issue is that it can harden over time (and when exposed to air, as the moisture evaporates). To avoid this, store it (store-bought or homemade) in an airtight container. Aim to use it within 2 years for the best quality. You can also freeze the sugar for 3+ years.
