Soften the butter so it's easier to whip—take it out of the fridge 30-40 minutes in advance or cover it with a heated bowl for up to 10 minutes.
In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, powdered sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and nutmeg (if using).
Whip the mixture vigorously with a hand whisk until it becomes light and creamy, which will take just a few minutes.Taste and adjust the flavors.
Transfer the cinnamon butter to a butter container or a jar or shape it into a log using plastic wrap. Enjoy right away or store in the fridge. Serve at room temperature.
